From what I've read so far, this seems to be the most disturbing slide of These Five Years. Viewers discretion strongly advised.

I had a feeling that many viewers found this unnecessarily disturbing and that the movie could be better without. But to me, this is the most important scene in These Five Years - without it the theme would be complete different, and I wouldn't have wanted that. I have no wish to shock viewers for their attention; I simply wanted to tell the story the way it is.

The art itself was unexpectedly hard to make - I didn't know it was so difficult to make the bums and thighs look like, um, bums and thighs. I like how it turned out, and I learned a lot during its making. it's one of my faves amongst all the watercolor pieces for the story.
