Now we come to the NC-17 portion of These Five Years.


Slide #5


This was the second picture I painted for the series. Painting this was a blast - I actually thought I was a genius and was so full of myself when I completed this pic. But it didn't last long - I went from over-confidence to severely doubting my skill after repeated failures on the second last slide (the one where Harry pinned down Draco). Might have just been pure luck with this one.


Slide #6 and #7


Slide #6 and #7 came from one image. This was also a blast to draw, probably because there're no faces and I could be as free as I wanted with my brush strokes. Posting this pic reminds me to go research life-drawing classes in my area. There are two Universities two stations away, so it's quite probable that there's one close by where I live.


Slide #8


Ah... this one. I wanted to make Draco look like he's thinking "I faintly hope that you'd stop but you go on. I'm losing faith in whatever we have." I wanted him to look more sad than painful, and a bit surprised. Whether it successfully achieved the purpose I wasn't sure. I had (and still have) a lot of doubts in this picture.
