Just found out that an old friend of mine has cancer. Actually, I think I knew for a few weeks, but I kinda ignored it; guess I didn't want to believe it. I know I haven't talked to him in a while, but I hope he finds the strength to pull through. From what it seems, the prognosis should be good, but still-- it sucks. I don't know what it is this year, but I have absolutely no time. At all. ARRRRRGH.

The room was dark, and I sat on my bed, forgetting that I had just placed my glasses there. And the frames snapped in half, right down the middle. :( At least I have my old frames, and the prescription is very similar. But still . . . that sucks. :/

Wow . . . I can't believe my summer is almost over!! Orientations start on Tuesday, and the first day of school with the students is Sept. 4. There's so much to think about before then too . . . but I should spend the next couple days thinking of nothing but fun. I did just buy 20 miniature flags for my classroom, though. A friend let us borrow their wii for the evening. I guess we have to give it back tomorrow, but I am sure I will want to stay up all night playing.
