I'm rewatching Kindred: the Embraced because it's one of those things that I can have on and not think about when I work. While my problems with it are numerous, I still love it. But today I realized that Zane wears Sasha's shirt. I don't know why I think this is so hilarious.

I'll just preface this with letting people know I have one Jewish and one Catholic parent. If you don't already know that. As such, religious pluralism is very important to me. random rant
I know this is just ridiculous and meaningless but I really just have to rant about this. I hate HR people. Really, really hate them. Maybe this is because I've never had a job in a company where there was an HR department and had a need that could be resolved by an HR department, so in my perception, they are gatekeepers for work and are holier ( Read more... ) -

Can someone please recommend to me a good British history book? I know that "British history" emcompasses a lot, so anything wide in scope would be good. Or if there's something you really like that's more narrow, that's fine too. I just want to know more about the place I live.
