so friday afternoon, right after my last class, i got into a cab i had called which was waiting for me outside drl. it took me to the airport, where i boarded a plane to tampa. my parents and brother were waiting in a rental car at the baggage claim. they whisked me away to buca de beppo (!), where we were meeting everyone ( Read more... )

today i got home from the beach. we went to duck, north carolina, on the outer banks, for those who would like to know. it was incredible, and relaxing. i read a bunch of books during the week, which was my goal: to read for pleasure! i guess i am obligated to review them, briefly:

two things of note:

1) Last night at Wawa, Lisa convinced me to try one of those milkshake things. Intriguing. I had chocolate but I chose the "more thick" option so it took a while for it to be drinkable. It tasted decent though.

2) Tonight I saw Yo Yo Ma here. It was kinda like Wolf Trap, but not as pretty or big. The concert was awesome ( Read more... )

off to new york with my mumalloo this weekend, to see shows, eat in cafes, and in general, take as much advantage of the two day break as possible.

i'll be back sunday evening. call with plans for occupying my last moments of freedom!
