I have 2 finals today, one at 8 AM and another at 1:00. I have more studying to do and planning to be up at 5:30 to do it. Woke at 5:00, looked out my kitchen window, and saw deer grazing out back. I'm excited and just about ready to go out for our first paddling adventure with our new kayaks. Had a heck of a time finding my vest. It's been almost 2 years since I last used it! Have kayak; will paddle... but not today, unfortunately. Thunderstorms are in the forecast and from the changes in the sky, it appears to be gearing up for them. If I can't use it right away, at least it's for a good reason. Last night, I stayed outside for quite a while after I took the garbage out. The crisp, cool night air felt good to me. The atmosphere was clear, the stars beautiful - and I saw an Aurora! I found out today that I won't be able to do a retake of one of the courses I left 20 years ago. It will be a permanent zero on my record. They don't offer it at Cortland any longer and if I were to take it somewhere else, it wouldn't get rid of the zero.
