The nose as a pump

The nose is a two-faced organ. A servant of two masters: smell and breathing. And I have forgot about this fact when writing about the words NOSE and NEWS in Russian, NOSE and NEWS in English and other similar pairs in different languages which are consonant for a reason. Including Arabic pairs. I was so inspired by this topic that I began to speak in verse : pairs “Nose is the one which knows”.

And we also breathe through our nose. And then such words as the Arabic NAFS نفس "breath " came to mind. It seems that it is also not by chance that NAFS is consonant with NOSE. The Arabic DAKKHHA ضخ "to pump, to inflate", is consonant with the Russian word DYHANIYE " breathe". And the Latin NASUS nasus "nose" almost completely coincides with the Russian NASOS “pump” .

I also have remembered the Arabic colloquial NUSS نص "middle, half". Not only because it sounds consonant with NOSE, but its meaning corresponds too. The nose divides the face in half and is located in its very middle.
