hubby: why does a snail drive a cadillac?

me almost asleep: what the hell? why are you asking me this?

hubby: it's a joke. why---- why does a snail drive a cadillac?

me irritated:​ fuck if i know… just tell me so i can go

this one STILL gets me when i think about it… only because of the horrible timing and the fact we laughed for a while afterwards (and still do) <3 it'll definitely be one of those moments that always brings a smile

If it was accidental I didn't notice, I read it as a "couple quirk", like something you guys do together. The same way my husband and I will start every sentence to each other with, "Okay, but..." :)
