I am unexpectedly back in Toronto as my grandfather died yesterday evening. The funeral is tomorrow and we will be siting shiva all week, except for Yom Kippur. He was 90, and he was doing very well, so while it shouldn't seem sudden it is (he just collapsed, and 6 hrs later he was gone). A nice thing about sharing an appartment with a Forensic Anthropologist is that you have someone to laugh and groan and nitpick Bones with who won't roll their eyes in disgust when you complain about the plot/science and tell you to watch for the characters (I love you, brosia and witchnyn, *tthhhbbbptt* and I do enjoy the characters too ( Read more... )

I got my hands on the Serenity comic. It is glee, and I hear their voices in my head as I read. I've missed them so much. Though the preview pencils were better, Simon actually looked like Simon in this one (mostly), as opposed to generic pretty boy. Woooo! Mal had extra comic-style muscles, which was vaguely weird though not unexpected... Also ( spoilers, though not for plot points... )
