I don't know whether I'd laugh or cry if I was served this little gourmet delight at a restaurant. I can't stop looking at the picture... what on earth was he thinking? Banana Cake
Not that cooking banana cake is hard or anything, but I made on last night that worked REALLY well so I thought I'd jot it down before I forget it. Not especially healthy, but it good and it rose very well too (I always have an issue with flat cakes).
250 g butter
1 cup castor sugar
3 eggs
4 over ripe bananas, mashed

My car is complete... and very driveable!
Yesterday my car was FINALLY finished. Registered, turbo replaced... I never thought I could be so in love with a car.

Best dessert ever
I have found the best dessert recipe ever. I cannot get over how good it tastes! I got it out of a Diabetes magazine while sitting in a GP waiting room the other day. I could remember the ingredients, but know how to make creamed rice, so it wont be exactly like the magazine! I just want to eat the whole pot! I cannot impart onto you just how ( Read more... ) -
Trojan
This morning one of my "little ladies", Trojan, passed away. Over the past few months we'd seen her deterioration: losing of function in her hind legs, loss of lustre in her coat, loss of weight, and worsening of a lung infection. In the kitchen
I did a massive batch cook this weekend. I went to the Vic Market and bought so much fruit and veg my arms nearly fell off carrying them. And then within the space of three hours I converted it all into five meals:
Pasta bake
Cook up 400g pasta, set aside.
Cook up some onion, toss in whatever other vegetables you have that need to be used up.

I have just discovered an absolutely wonderful recipe. So quick and easy to make. It is very visually appealing, and it tastes... unbelievable.
