I have officially started my second semester in my PhD program. The first went mostly well, and I have objective measures that I did OK: 3 A's, 1 A-, 2 professors willing to work with me on independent projects, and an advisor who said I have "progressed nicely." So, according to , this one female lead from the show Criminal Minds is being cut, another is having her time on air cut to cut her contract. There are three female leads, and four male leads. One thing I worry about, as a once-upon-a-time-decent-fiction-and-poetry-writer, is that as my interests in academics grow, the less I can write creatively. The more formalized my language becomes, the more "academic" I sound, the less fluid my writing is in the creative arena.
