Surgery went very well. Life after surgery is tough though. This is harder than when he was a newborn. Gavin can't crawl, roll around, pull himself up, or do anything with his right arm. We have to carry him everywhere and hand him his toys. He's my super trooper... still smiling and babbling. The meds we have to administer are taking their toll. ( Read more... )

Gavin has, yet again, bilateral ear infections. He was given a strong antibiotic via shot this morning and cleared for surgery. He was out from 7:45am to 4pm today and saw three doctors (including registering at the hospital). Gavin cannot eat anything after midnight tonight which should be trying. Gavin is having surgery on 10/19 for a Cystic Hygroma. It looks like a fat roll on his right arm. He will have to go under local which I am slightly concerned about. $500 co-pay for the hospital and several $25 specialist co-payments but worth every penny. He is spending the night in the hospital and then a week at home which means, because Lori ( Read more... )
