I caught the following on NPR today: Are Infants Who Sleep in Parents' Bed at Risk? I thought it was surprisingly well balanced.

And for a bit of humor: Four year old calls for math help. 

I'm looking at sewing patterns. They're mostly categorized fairly logically. For example, "Evening, Prom, Bridal," makes sense as a category. So do "Skirts, Pants" and "Coats, Jackets, Vests." However, "Sleepwear, Maternity, Men, Uniforms," is makes no sense at all. (That's Butterick.)

I hate Japanese Beetles.

I've been reading slowly, trying to savor the last book. I was shocked to realize that I'm already almost 1/4 of the way through (page 175). ( Initial thoughts, with SPOILERS THROUGH CHAPTER 9. )

I'm on my way to Borders, but I thought I'd leave you with a very funny, very wrong video to pass the time.

Hubby got home 2 hours earlier than expected. He'd called yesterday to say he's actually be home late, so I was quite surprised when he pulled into the driveway at 6:30. As of today, real copies of Deathly Hallows are available on BitTorrent. Those of us who are spoiler-phobes are going to have to be cautious for the next few days to avoid stumbling across real spoilers in unexpected locations. (None of those links should contain spoilers in the actual text. Comments, however, are always a risk.)

I thought this was clever and inexpensive if you can find a throw at a consignment store or garage sale.
