So this weekend didn't quite turn out as planned when we came home late from work on Friday night to discover that the bunny hadn't eaten all day. While this isn't typically a big issue for most animals, it can be lethal to a rabbit since it essentially stops the GI track. This weekend was excellent as I got to end the old year in a way that perfectly celebrated what a wonderful year it was :) The year was filled with a lot of changes and a lot of busy-ness, but it was fun and wonderful and I am a happier and healthier person for it. So I often call Fredrick (my lovebird) a dog with wings and feathers.. His favorite activities are snuggling, being pet, sleeping on you, and stealing your food. Our bunny died today :( He went in to get neutered today, and after about 15 minutes of anesthesia, which seemed to be going well, he just stopped breathing. They breathed for him for as long as they could, while trying drugs to stimulate him back to life, but eventually his little heart just gave up. After 6 months of having somewhat limited excercise due to my knee issues, and then this past month, really not being able to excercise at all after my surgery.. I've *finally* gotten back into my routine of working out 5-6 mornings a week. I alternate mornings either on my Nordic Track Ski machine/ME Dance, or doing weight training/crunches/ ( Read more... )
