I think the first stanza wasn't bad at all, compared to what you are saying about it anyway. This particularly:
the lungs of a man,
who is thrice my years,
tar, so full and thick,

I did Activity 1 from the textbook in relation to Derek Walcott's The Young Wife (for Nigel). The question asked the audience to describe the relationship between the speaker and the grieving husband. Getting Burnt
This weekend just passed, myself and my partner headed up to Bateau Bay for a few days of friends, sunshine, alcohol and gravy smothered chips. We know these terrific cabins up on Shelley Beach that overlook the ocean; Sunday morning we awoke to a rare ocean-liner free horizon and plenty of sunshine glaring at us from the tops of the waves.
