March 17 is the day many wear green in
honour of St.Patrick, the patron Saint of
Ireland. St.Patrick is credited with bringing
Christianity to the Emerald Isle and March
17th marks the anniversary of his death in
the year AD 493. It is said that he used
three-leaf clovers (or shamrocks) to explain
