The beach is a great place for soul-searching. I realized a few things about my life which will probably not have much of an impact on me, in the long run, but of which I'm glad I've come to be cognizant.

Bravo, for realizing how much you've got going for. But don't think that "just" having a master's in chemistry means you'll never do anything great. The cure for cancer isn't the only great thing to be done... and sometimes the greatest thing you can do is make your life happy and productive, then share your happiness with others.

I would say that happiness with your life, no matter how it turns out, is a great thing.
