Apocalypse fic!

How will David Cameron lead the remnant of the country through an economically depressed Britain with a flooded London while he struggles with his newfound affection for his deputy? What will Nick Clegg negotiate for Britain in Europe and will he return to the place where everything suddenly went unimaginably wrong, not least his conflicted feelings over that one minute and thirty-three seconds alone with Cameron? Where is George Osborne, last seen in conversation with a smiling Mandelson?

Treachery, dishevelments, un-used to hardships; it's a reality wrenched from a nightmare. Just how will everyone cope?

Still feeling drowned in a wave of deja-vu, George stood by the window. The lecterns from the afternoon were still in the garden ( ... )

I think i've been remiss at telling you how very awesome and plotty and complicated and just overall wonderful this fic is. So anyway. It is. I *adore* apocalyptic AUs and I love how broken all your characters are and how they're just trying to hold it all together.

Author-anon, seeing updates of this fic in my inbox continues to make me ridiculously happy. I'm really sad that you aren't getting more replies to this fic because it is fucking amazing and brilliant, and I am so happy that you are still writing this, and this is long and glorious and fucking amazing.

"Did you have me kidnapped?" George demanded and threw down something down on his desk. They fluttered in the air briefly before settling on top of his speech notes. "You could just have asked me to disappear. You know I would have done it. Of all people, you know I understand political expediency. Was it a mistake? Tell me it was a mistake? Tell me you didn't know what they did ( ... )

O. M. F. G!

That is one awesome story and I want to marry your brain and have lots of spawns with it.

Boris in a volcano made me lol in a way that echoed loudly in my currently empty (bar from me) flat and made me freak out a little bit.

ILU!

"This is not going to happen again," Nick said firmly.

"Again?"

Reluctant to admit what he was thinking (David, inevitable proximity, the intense camaraderie of friendships), Nick returned his thoughts to the war that David and George seemed intent on declaring for some purpose he couldn't discern. It irritated him, that after all of it, that despite George's abscence, they were still sharing some sort of secret tortuous Tory logic that he couldn't follow. And yet, David was still looking at him, quizzical, tamping down some question that Nick knew he really wanted to ask but was too well-bred (or trained) to say out aloud. As if Nick was the one who held the answers, that it was others who forced him into the situation, into a decision ( ... )

"Until you became lost from Number Ten," She observed shrewdly, politely not mentioning what George knew what was an inelegant presentation. George had no doubt she saw the bike, "I hope no one drove you away. It is a miracle to see you back, especially after the revolution ( ... )

omfg, when I saw four new parts of this I was so happy.

The Clameron. And the hints that this isn't new, that they'd been together before, and oh, oh, oh, be still my heart.

George being kidnapped AGAIN. omg, you are evil.

And the Bercows!

omg I honestly can never wait for more of this fic and cannot wait to re-read it when you've finished and just sigh in happiness.
