2.) If something good happens, it will be ruined with something really really sucky.

Nova Went to Space
Yesterday I completed the first draft of Soul from the Supernova! It is likely the shortest novel I have ever written at just over 53,000 words. I have not yet decided if it is worth editing into something that people can read. A lot of it is nonsense and the plot is not terribly deep. A Different Species
I must be the only NaNoWriMo participant, and potentially the only human being on the planet, for whom the website "Write or Die" does not work. All day long on the NaNo forums you hear of this website's magical properties which apparently cause the writer to churn out insanely high word counts in short periods of time ( Read more... ) -

Low Optimism Levels
So, I have my degree now. It's fantastic, it feels great, like I really accomplished something. But the problem right now is realizing that I have to do something else, because as wonderful as Linguistics is, there is simply nothing out there for me to do with an undergraduate degree in Linguistics. Puppies and Pins
I got a new puppy in February! Her name is Rosalind and she's a Havanese, soon to be registered CKC. She's hilarious and adorable. Who knew that housebreaking a 4 month old puppy would be so difficult!
