I have begun NaNoWriYe, or rather, I haven't. As it turns out, I didn't even start writing yesterday, and I haven't today. If this is any indication, 2009 is off to a grand start! How I failed NaNoWriMo
This is my fourth year Wrimoing, and I won in all the years prior to this one. But this year I lost, and I can't explain exactly why. I can make excuses: my Smokie puppy died in the last week of November, and I spent at least a week (some time before she died I knew it was coming so I was already feeling sad) mourning. We had to put Smokie to sleep today. I miss her. This is less than a year after Bradie and now there are no dogs in the house at all. :( -

Three days ago, HERInteractive, the company that brings us the Nancy Drew Adventure game series for PC, launched a new, download-only series. It's called Nancy Drew Dossier. Wishing I were writing
The new term is off to a rather intense start. I already dropped a class, having discovered that two Spanish classes in one term was a bit excessive. As a friend described it, it was like somebody pushed me into the deep end and I didn't know how to swim. Fortunately, it is looking better now that I dropped one. Life and other mysteries
My foot is cursed. I'm serious. It's already a little under the weather ever since the surgery (which was over a year ago already, though the exact date seems to have been discarded from my memory), but that only seems to make matters worse. New Job
Got a new job at a hotel as the Night Auditor. It's been absolutely chaotic so far, actually. I'm supposed to be done the audit by about 4AM but it has been stretching to 5:30 AM last night. I'm still there until 7AM but people start checking out and stuff around 5, so there are other things I need to do in the mornings. I missed giving the ( Read more... ) -
Troubles with the exclamation point
I can't hit the exclamation point today and it's really unfortunate. It eludes me. I always end up with a 1, like one of those irritating N00b fan girls. This is totally worthy of an lj entry.
