i'm still alive, even if i feel half dead. eBay is trying to transform me from a human being into a piece of corporate machinery, but i'm trying my damnedest to resist, be happy, collect paychecks, and spend them on records to spin on my turntables. i should be grateful to have a job, especially one so lucrative in this horrible economy, ( Read more... )

i think i've found the cure for depression, and it involves listening to pantera, making clothing out of duct tape, and wearing a colander on your head. oh, and monkeys are an integral element too.

let's hope it sticks as well as duct tape.

I haven't been doing very well at all lately, but I think I'm on the verge of getting better. I've been living a life out of balance for a long time and I've only recently noticed. i didn't stop to smell any roses today, however, when i came across an abandon sofa on the sidewalk, i did take a moment to bounce up and down on it a few times.

life has its moments.

a guilty confession:
when my dad called me, and said he had some bad news to tell me...
the first thing i thought was 'oh fuck, my cat thelonious died! or hobbes!'
and i admit, however fucked up it sounds, that i was relieved it was just my grandpa killing himself.

how awful is that?

well. this might sound terrible, but i'm not very broken up about my grandfather's suicide. shocked and sad, yes. but in reality my grandfather was a pretty irritable, unhappy person who was usually unpleasant to be around. i feel guilty remembering him this way, but i can't pretend his life was any different. i only hope that he was happy ( Read more... )

my grandpa shot himself in the head last night.

man. i don't really have words for this.

highlights of the recent days/weeks/months/whatever:

• standing on my fire escape with my umbrella on a cold, rainy, windy night, watching orange clouds roll by
• grocery shopping on mushrooms and ecstasy. (hello sir. yes, i have a cala club card. and damn, i really love your mustache.)
