Sometimes it's hard to slip between my two worlds. Spent the last week at home soaking up the love of so many friends and my family.  Each day was a new opportunity to connect, catch-up, and feel fulfilled by the different strong relationships I've built over the years. As I was sitting in the exam room yesterday, I remember thinking--wow, cardio appts have gotten less dramatic, i used to always feel the need to journal or LJ about them, but nothing too exciting this time.

I will fight you. I will fight you for my heart. You may not know you keep it but you do. And so I will fight, although maybe it is not you I am fighting. 

I will beat my feet across these old brick paths. I will beat my feet until I wear out the soles and wear out the memories.

 it's one of those days in which i am so tired i've even lost the energy it takes to forget all those thoughts and memories that on a normal day i would work hard to avoid. and so the tears come. but hopefully sleep comes soon too.
