It's very clear in the instructions that thoroughness and careful attention to spelling and grammar are expected, and your application demonstrates neither of these qualities.

I'm going to say NO also, but because you didnt give me a clear picture of WHY. Tell me how characters or situations made you feel or what they made you think. Tell me details or your own hypothesis about what you listened to on the tapes.

at the risk of ticking people off I'm going to say your thoughts on the books are more important than weather or not you can spell the characters names correctly. *shrug* I understood what you were saying, which is really what matters. Have a friend read it over and check it before you resubmit it and you wont have that problem again.

While thoughts on the books are certainly important, taking the time to find the proper spelling of character names is not a difficult task. I could have overlooked Gildor, but misspelling Gandalf? That's a total lack of concern.
