Most nights now, it takes me a long time to fall asleep, and I stare into the dark, and I ask myself the same question.

Have I made a difference yet?

I'll tell you one thing: you've certainly made a difference in my
life. If it hadn't been for your enthusiasm over getting TMC off
the ground (I mean for the read-through at First Street Playhouse),
the production might never have taken place. And what would we have
done without you in "The Nat'ral Blend?" I'll bet you've made similar
differences in the lives of hundreds of other people.

I've suddenly had these urges to make a difference. Before, all I cared about was writing something and publishing it...which, I suppose, is making a difference in a certain way. Now, I want to take Chinese in college and go teach less fortunate children.

Guess I'm startin' to feel the war's effect.
