what a story! is it totally sick and twisted that i was laughing hysterically throughout--i mean obviously everything was gonna be fine given you're reporting this. i can't wait to hear about the intentionally exciting parts.

ME TOO!!! I was totally laughing, till I got to the part about the crying . .. but then the fact that she held it together in order to "look good" in front of the flight attendants made me laugh again! horrible, but hilarious.

!!! jesus! I don't understand the "low! low!" thing either - seems unnecessarily stressful. I am glad you're okay, and I too would have totally burst into tears. But yay for more leg room!

Ah, legroom. Despite my trauma on the ill-fated flight #1, I did not hesitate to ask for the exit row on the ultimately successful flight #2. And as luck would have it, we got bulkhead on the connecting flight from ATL to SFO. I feel like I should get a certification which would allow me to be a regular exit row sitter henceforth.

GAHHH.

ok, so you know that everybody has had scary flights recently? Ask Jen G about losing cabin pressure at the altitude that kills you. And Rae about almost hitting the plane. I'm sure I've gone into my Laguardia/Hartford hell.

WTF? GAHHH!

and yet -- i also have to admit, that living through my own hell actually made me trust the airlines more. like, that things usually are ok, even when things go wrong.

I'm glad you're ok. I certainly hope you are the one in my exit row should this ever happen to me.
