Or lack thereof.  Sometimes I just get real sick of the frantic pace of my life.  It's funny how when you're pregnant, you spend all this time laying around thinking about the baby and what it's gonna be like and then once you have the kid, you really hit the ground running.  One day, you are childless, the next, you have a baby and it's go go go ( Read more... )

I hear you, woman. Working AND having a baby is something that puts you in the superhero category. While on the one hand leaving the house seems kind of essential and not having your kid with you all the time seems down right sanity perserving, I can also see the opposite world. Just all the movement from one place to another is so fucking exhausting - it's the out of the car, into the place. I can't believe all the stuff you did today. Damn. Check's in the mail, trophy's on the mantle, cruise has been scheduled kind of thing. I salute you and all the other mama's that want to lay on the couch salute you too. May you dream of sleep. xo h

Aw shucks :) Well I appreciate those words but I'm no supermama. You should be talking, you're the one w/ 3! It makes me so bummed sometimes that our society doesn't seem to believe in the whole "villiage raising a child" idea. Seems like moms all over feel overwhelmed, overworked, and isolated...even w/ a partner. Like we're all off in our own worlds raising our kids... but if it happened more on a community level, it would be so much different ( ala native communities, etc).
