Or rather, two are in, one has to be mailed, and then I have two summer ones that I'm kind of holding off on simply because I don't want to be buggered to think of ten influences on my thoughts on public policy because I can't actually think of anything and thus have to make things up.

Internship!
Yes!
So, if all else fails, if I get no other offers whatsoever, I at least have the oppertunity for a spring or summer internship at Calyx Press in Corvalis Oregon. They're tiny (they have four full time employees) and it's unpaid, but it is a publishing company, I respect their work, and the location is apparently quite nice (college town, woo ( Read more... ) -
today was a good day :)
Today I:
- Vanquished the GRE
- Got a call back from Calyx Press apologizing for not getting to me on the interview; as expected they were just really busy yesterday (they're a small press, it's expected) and they still really want to interview me. Yay!
- got an A on a short story

Studying for GREs = done
now have to write a short story for tomorrow. hrrgh. Writer's block. And get to bed early because l-lol getting up at 5 am to get to the testing center orz. -

Okay, so, I've been taking GRE practice tests. Today I did WAY better on the "Present A Perspective On An Issue" section, mostly because the issue was something like "Advances in technological tools and the way we use them creates societies and cultures that are increasingly lonely," which is something I vehemently disagree with and have anecdote ( Read more... ) -

Firstly, as it turns out, I don't need to have the internship registration form for school due until next semester. That's a relief.
Secondly... upon realizing that I actually do need to take the GRE for several of the programs to which I am applying, I registered for it ( Read more... )
