another view on nanotechnology (and other comments)
I found this interview and thought it should be shared. It's thought-provoking. I don't agree with everything mentioned, although it's nice to hear optimism is not a scarce resource.

"I'm Too Busy"
I've made efforts to be in touch with people even when I'm busy, whether it's a call, an email, a letter or postcard, or a visit. (Recently have used IM and texting too. Yes, I'm over 30.) baby bunny again
I just saw it in the backyard, closely watched by kitties. One of them pounced the window (hoping to break through and attack poor bunny). Well, baby bunny knows these kitties are harmless. They can't possibly break through a window. Right? -
disorganized
Went out the other day, to run errands at 4 places on 13th Ave. S., thinking of how wonderfully organized I was. I'd mapped out where 3 of the places were, thinking the 4th one could be located at random (a drugstore). Writer's Block: Conversion Rate
I spent most of my life considering it, although did not know which religion I wanted. I finally did it in my twenties (by the way, that was years ago). Then last year I realized that what I converted to was actually more philosophy than religion.... so it was something I could practice anywhere, without having to be in a physical church. cottontail bunnies
I've seen them more and more in the past month. Specifically, there's a baby bunny which keeps returning to our sideyard. It's really cute. The cats love to sit in the nearest window and watch it eat grass. :-) -
Nanotechnology
I thought this was in the experimental stage (in labs only), and that consumers would be notified when products are released with nanotechnology. Call me naive. They've gone past experimenting in the lab, and have already put hundreds of products on store shelves, WITHOUT telling us that nanotechnology is in there. Mad Cow
Ugh. This is not a nice topic. But we need to be aware. Prions can reside in humans for years without being detected, then they can suddenly cause the brain to malfunction. Very scary. Also, prions are not alive, so they can't be "killed." I'm sure there's a way of disabling them so they're no longer harmful, or else "reprogramming" them to ( Read more... )
