I don't understand why people think that our world today is so much more terrible than it always has been. It has been bad for a loooooooooooooooooooooong time. Violence has always existed... persecution.. torture... discrimination of every kind. Why is it that almost every time I try to write something in this damn thing, I can never find ANY words? Even if my mind is FILLED to the max with thoughts, I almost never am able to get them out.

"Deliverance", by James Dickey. What a great book-- I highly reccommend. It makes one think a lot about how much of our true human nature we give up for the purpose of civilization.
