My mind has been split between figuring out New Years Eve and thinking about the tsunamis. I can't tell which is a relief for which.

Christmas was good. Really! Mom asked me if I was glad I had come down and if I'd had a good time, and I told her, "It wasn't bad!" She didn't take it the way I meant it to sound, so I explained to her that Christmas hasn't always been thoroughly enjoyable but this year "not being bad" was definitely a thumbs up.
