For the longest time I didn’t believe in love. It was this broken concept- people “fall in love” and then in the end just…give up? I told myself I would never give up when I found that true love, if it even existed. I’d give and I’d give, but I’d never let go. I’d give it my all.

Thanks. I think everyone needs to learn this lesson, and I try so hard to drill it in my friends heads that put up with the crap that guys and sometimes girls give.

Sometimes we just need to learn from experience. Been there, done that. Everyone told me it was a bad situation but I kept trying to justify it. The positive thing is that you (hopefully) learn and grow from stuff like that.

I think everyone has one of these situations. Unfortunately, you have to live and you have to learn, just like you said. I had to experience it myself to realize what it felt like, and someone telling me didn't have any effect.

It’s like when you’re buying milk and you search and search for the farthest off date on the carton? Well, even though I search hard, my milk always spoils.

I love this.

I think we've all been in a relationship like yours where you give a lot more than you get. In the end, not matter how much you love them, you have to love yourself more than them.

I've always said you need to love yourself before you can be loved in return, because if you don't love yourself, how can you let someone love you?
