I don't know if anyone else is a Connie Willis junkie, but I was trolling through audible.com's new releases and found out that Doomsday Book is now a downloadable audiobook. Yeah, I think I know what my book credit is buying this month. =)

I should have gone to bed after "Family of Blood." I knew it.

But no, I had to go ahead and finish my disc of Doctor Who. Now it's past midnight and I am permanently traumatized.

I knew it would be next to impossible to love this new version of Persuasion as much as I love the 1995 version with Ciaran Hinds and Amanda Root, but damn this blows! I don't think I've ever mentioned this on my journal, but as of about halfway through the summer, I'm doing pretty much all the acquisitions work for my library system. Aside from the staggering workload this entails, one of the most annoying things to deal with? Ordering books I hate.
