Suck it!
so i finally got the dreaded letter from the state department saying my passport was DENIED. they cited doma. that really puts a crimp in my already planned vacation to spain in sept. now the only way i can get a passport (i had to declare my other one lost) is to petition the court for a name change. i filled out the form already and have to take ( Read more... ) -

Grown up furniture
today i sold our bedroom furniture to a girl via craigslist. it was not what we wanted and we don't need a wardrobe thanks to the normal sized closet we now have. we are thinking it's time to buy adult furniture which more than likely rules out ikea (for bedroom furniture that is). the rest of our house looks like a page from an ikea catelog or ( Read more... ) -
Just plain silly.
tomorrow i adopt my biological son! then we can safely travel outside of the 5 states the recognize my parentage. yes yes we were living on the edge by traveling to colorado before the adoption. fuck DOMA. -
We have moved!!
oh thankgoodness for movers. it took 7 hours ($900+) and all our crap is in our new place sans cats. i left the cats at our old house for the night because i don't want them to freak out anymore than they already have. i'm shocked none ran out the open front door is shear terror. one did claw the crap out of my bicep when i tried to pick him up and ( Read more... ) -

yesterday i sat at our new place from 8 am until 3pm waiting for the fIOS installer. she finally showed up and thankfully it only took about an hour. we got home lalte tuesday from colorado and wed. i got up early (before ely) to pack up the tv's and computers to take them to the new place for the installation. i brought along the wireless router ( Read more... ) -
