I wasn't going to post about this out of respect for my friend, who wanted to keep the shitstorm out of her family's life. Oh, Slate, I hardly knew ye...
I thought Slate was better than this. All right, I know they're owned by the Washington Post, so maybe I shouldn't have expected much better. Glorious Soup
Maybe I should make this a Kimberton Whole Foods soup journal. See, they won't give out their soup recipes. It's got to be weekly that I go to KWF and buy some fabulous soup and fall utterly in love; then a week later I think to myself, "Gee, I could make a nice pot of soup. ... just a wee journal entry. It doesn't really know what it wants to say. Doesn't know what it wants to be when it grows up. Somewhat hormonal in the way of most youth. But it'll get better. Stick around to watch it grow.
