 No such luck.  Staying with my sister for tonight at least.  Stayed in Dorchester last night.  Might go back tomorrow and sleep in the living room.

 So I'm awake in the middle of the night and I need to do something to calm my mind down, and there's something about meditation and pranayama that are just not cutting it right now (like...  When I started teacher training, we wrote a list of goals and put them into an envelope. We get them back when we graduate. I love that idea- it's like a time capsule of goals and emotions.  Our landperson is the most passive-aggressive person I think I've ever had to deal with.  It's possible that she doesn't mean it, or even that she doesn't know she's doing it, but I don't really buy it.  She seems to have no conception of people dealing with financial issues, and it's really wearing me thin.  I don't know why it bothers me so much ( Read more... )

So I realized on Sunday, while driving back from a visit to Michigan which was overall fabulous, that Boston is not good to me.  Or maybe I'm not good to Boston.  In any case, I feel alienated.  I'm not making friends or finding a job easily, and it sucks.  I can't decide what to do with my life, and I'm not making any progress ( Read more... )
