I miss my dad.

I guess he has passed his passion and his determination along to me, but there are so many things I don't know. If only we could communicate...just once. That is my wish.

Seeing the faces of the people of my past makes me sad.Whether it's people who I've fallen out with, people who's idea of fun has changed since the bat mitzvah era when I hung out with them, people who are more popular than me, or simply people who I have not talked to in a while, they all bring a feeling of regret and emptyness into my gut. Last night was a lot of fun. I took a chance and got tickets to the Andrew Bird concert for me and Rachel, and it completely paid off! I talk to my friends in college about their depth of gratitude to be home, and I feel foolish in the way that I cant appreciate it. I guess I have to leave first to appreciate having a set home.
