I think I might be able to get an alternative fuel certificate and plate for my car. If so, there'd be a significant tax savings every year when it comes time to renew my registration. It probably doesn't make up for the extra expense of the biodiesel, but it would be nice to save a little money somewhere. Here's what the plate looks like:

I've had my new tdi jetta for just over a week now, and its time for more fuel. I'm going to fill it up with biodiesel and see how it runs. For those of you who haven't heard of biodiesel, it's basically chemically altered vegetable oil. Producers of biodiesel make it out of things like soybean oil and recycled cooking grease. I'm getting tired of bagging my own groceries at the supermarket. What happened to the bagger boys who took care of that sort of thing for us? It seems like the only people working the store are stocking the shelves with more overpriced consumables for us to buy. I can't believe this - the suggested serving size on the tub of chocolate covered espresso beans I bought from Trader Joe's is 25 pieces! Isn't that dangerous?

The wedding ceremony this morning was short and sweet. My only responsibility was to carry the rings and hand one to Brian to place on Aaron's finger. I got all teary-eyed during the whole thing. I'm totally finished with college now. It feels good to be done. It almost feels like I have nothing to do anymore. I like that feeling. I'm going to be much happier doing the work-only thing.
