So, I invited R to my brother's Superbowl party at the hotel where my sister-in-law works.  Not that I give even the slightest damn about football, but I haven't seen my brother or his wife in ages, and I like their friends quite a bit. Christmas was a bit lonely, but not terrible. I talked to my family a couple of times through my little sister's iPad. It was fun to watch the kiddos  and parents opening the presents I sent them.  I got a great looking cookbook, an amazingly comfy cowl-neck sweatshirt, some cozy slippers, cute elephant earrings, and various other odds-and-ends.  I ( Read more... )
