It is midnight. It is also 90 degrees. This should not be. Tomorrow is supposed to be just as bad, if not worse. I hate this so much. I'm very ready for this heatwave to be over. -

Over two months is a long time between updates, even for me. None of the comms I belong to are very active anymore, which has impacted the way I use LJ. I try to keep an eye on what everybody is up to, but a lot of people seem to have gone quiet. It used to be if I was off-line for two-days it'd take me ages to get through my f-list. I'm going to my brother's for Thanksgiving tomorrow. I think it's the first time since moving to NYC that I'm actually doing something for the holiday. I'm making salted caramel pecan pie to take. I made it through Sandy with power intact. Which was lovely. I've been home from work for three days, which is kind of nice, but also boring and annoying. Limited subway service tomorrow, supplemented by shuttle bus service into city from Brooklyn. It is going to be utterly miserable to get there and back. But, there's a lot of shit I need to get -
