Thyroid Removed

I had my thyroid completely removed Friday afternoon. I'm back home now. I've got tape over my incision site, my whole neck is sore, but I did eat some ice cream.

If we went by the standard of not being able to complain about our ills based on others' - we'd all have to be silent. Even in my short stay at the hospital I saw some people in real pain, emotionally and physically. It's sometimes good to be reminded that our own load is bearable, but that doesn't mean we have to dismiss it either.

I'm feeling okay, sore, but happy to be home again.

soft foods and liquids for the next few days at least, had 2 ice creams yesterday.
