My hair. It is so funky..but the longer it gets and the more hot and humid the weather gets, the more uncool and hard to fix it is.. It's still short and cool. I just wish I had a free personal hair cutter

I hope y'all move back! It would be so wonderful for our kids to grow up close like we did. Good luck on finding a job. Still no idea about when we can visit but we will!

MAN--that is the same thing i have been feeling too...it's not like i want to live in BR--that seems so...defeating? but, success isn't about moving into a big city and having some big-name job or knowing certain people--it's definitely about having close friends and family around that you can hang out with and love and be loved by. that's the best part of life. that's what's pushing me back to Louisiana...i just miss that network and the love!

see.. i know that life is what you make it. i mean home is where you make it. haha. and i can't say it in that funny voice. like in some movie. but i'm too tired to think of it. i just finished reading the da vinci code like 10 minutes ago which is why i'm still up.

anyway, i know that the melancholy i felt was a result,partially.. probably mostly, from living with my parents. You know.. the oppressed feeling you get from getting told what to do all the time. and just that late high school--i GOTTA get outta here--feeling. I'm not the same. It wouldn't be the same life. My parents wouldn't *try* to boss me around. It would be cool probably.

ahhhh..i am so sleepy. gotta get off this thing.

I keep encountering people with this story. They left Baton Rouge, because duh, Baton rouge "sucks." But they realize place is much less important than people, so they come back and are perfectly OK with Baton Rouge henceforth.

Henceforth. Awesome.

In other news. =) Good job making it to your interview after all that! I can definitely see myself totally giving up - maybe. I would have been teetering on the edge, anyway. Especially with the heat and the heels. You rock. Really. And I love your hair, too! You should find a Lockworks kind of place to keep it shaped up. Or you could just cut it yourself ... I bet you could pull of something reeeaaally funky. =)
