today i found out that one of my new colleagues died in a caving accident yesterday.
not old, or sick, just gone.
i don't think it's real to me yet. maybe intellectually. i can't imagine how his family feel.

you know what? i hadn't even THOUGHT about how it was nearly christmas. that just adds a whole new dimension of pain for his family :(
