finally got the dent in my car "fixed" yesterday. i say fixed, i mean the dented wing was replaced by the shiny new colour matched one the dent-er of my car bought months ago and has been lying round the house...
to celebrate, i ignored the cost of fuel ( and pootled across to the west coast to see my nephew and meet his new dog. ) -

it seems my nephew was watching the series every week but an unanticipated hospital trip meant he missed the final.
seems he has an unexpected "showbiz" streak *sigh* -
it's not worked
james' cancer has got much worse and spread through his body. the chemo hasn't worked. there's one last "made-up" chemo treatment to try and they're going to send the family on a last holiday ( Read more... ) -

new news, might not be an abcess, might be a big pile of white blood cells and dead cancer cells! this would be a good thing.
shame my sister got told by a non-cancer medical person that it could be the cancer cells going mental, spent all day in heart-stopping terror and had packed ready to whip him down to birmingham... -

thankyou to everyone who's thinking of my nephew and send me their support. latest is that he'd been asleep for over 15 hours and missed the x-ray of the newly huge lump on his leg which has revealed an abcess which must be operated on ( Read more... ) -
i am back
course was ok, nephew had a touch-and-go night during the week (he's not making blood or being able to keep food down) after reacting badly to a transfusion, aa have closed the case on my 106 being totalled by the drunk driver as the owner of the car is ignoring them. what fantastic service. not. -

i'm off to coventry tomorrow for a week for work IF my hire car turns up. the hire company says it was delivered last night but they got the house number wrong. there are no keys, there is no car - what the hell have my october-christmas-tree-loving neighbours done with it ( Read more... ) -
