why do i bother?!
took my car in for a £30 winter check - it's going to need £500 to make it safe to fucking drive. and that's not including all the electrical work that needs doing that they cant do because the auto-sparky isnt available. -

today i found out that one of my new colleagues died in a caving accident yesterday.
not old, or sick, just gone.
i don't think it's real to me yet. maybe intellectually. i can't imagine how his family feel. -

i love my job
i'm so excited about finally starting a career job and still being excited by it 3 weeks later, unlike the last fixed contract one where the excitement wore off immediately to be replaced by the relief of having a wage :) i get to work on things made out of jumbo steel sections, use my 15 years of further education, and i have dr sam on my office ( Read more... )
