today i found out that one of my new colleagues died in a caving accident yesterday.
not old, or sick, just gone.
i don't think it's real to me yet. maybe intellectually. i can't imagine how his family feel.

I agree with everything said above. Death at anytime is hard but Christmas has got to be the worst. His poor family.
