The health care debate is making me sick.

I'm working 70 hours this week.  Yes, you read that right. 7-0.  I have 3 jobs and a small business.  But I don't have health insurance.  I don't qualify at two of my jobs, and at the third it's so expensive during the off-season that I couldn't afford it.

I'm doing the "what will people find about me on the internet when they google all my shit" and I noticed I haven't updated here in ages, so here goes.

Reading back a bit, things that have changed for the positive:

I no longer feel like I live on the corner of Grey Street and the end of the world... I'm starting to see colors again.

God, this is taking a long time.  But at least it's progress.

For Lent I will:

Not eat fast/take-out food.  This has become a huge problem.

Eat FRESH fruits and or veggies every day.  Juice doesn't count.  It's a wonder I haven't gotten scurvey.

Try to not eat meat on Friday (but I always forget this one at leat once anyway)

Go to church up here once.  It won't kill me to go some place other than St. Mark

Didn't get into the U of R.  Won't hear from Brockport for a month yet.

Looking a bit more like I'll be in Binghamton by winter.

I decided against going to France with mom.  I'm in debt up to my eyeballs, dad's not helping, and I'm getting almost no money from work.  I can't justify spending that much money on a plane ticket when it could save me hundreds of dollars in interest if I put it toward my debt instead.

I also can't say I'm not dissapointed.

You all know I've been an Obama supporter for the longest time now.  It's almost strange to think this is actually true.  That yesterday actually happened.  It feels kind of like the night of the inauguration, when it was announced that he won, the bar was more confused than anything else for a few solid minutes.  Is it real?  Did he really just ( Read more... )

I've realized that myspace and LJ are things of the past as of late.  Are we getting old?  It seems like people are still using facebook often.  Honestly, the interface bugs me so much (and not to mention getting swamped with stupid apps) that I just can't really get into it, even for my business ( Read more... )

I haven't been working much the last few days.  Actually, I haven't been working at all.  This week I'm not on at all at Kay's, and Vickie's has me on two call in shifts (one of which they've already not used, and tomorrow's will probably be the same), and one regular shift.  I don't know about you, but I can't get by on $30 a week.  Greatfully I  ( Read more... )
