Can anyone recommend any good communities for finding Star Trek 2009 fics? Or any good fics for that matter. Searching lj interests didn't help very much. I'm stressed out and need to escape into another world for awhile. Thanks.

There is newtrekslash. If you like real person slash there are a few Pinto (Chris Pine and Zach Quinto) comms and trek_rpf_kink which is a comm where people post prompts and others fill them in the comments, which makes for quite a mixed bag of topics. There is also one for the movie. :)

My mom and I had a great NYC trip--we saw Finian's Rainbow, which was a lovely musical, and of course we had a delicious and filling lunch.

And your man Michael Shanks is unfortunately guest starring in a two part episode of the craptastic show Smallville on Feb. 5th but at least the poor man gets to work with Allison Mack, the best actress on the show.
