I will not vote for Joe Biden
Biden is the very person who was IN CHARGE OF the Anita Hill hearings. His treatment of Anita Hill caused me to be VERY AFRAID of going forward with my complaint against the professor at Peninsula College.
Because of that fear I hesitated to report him. And because I hesitated, more women were harmed by that predator.

Steve short update
I still love Steve, in part for what just happened.
He's watching baseball, because today is Opening Day.
A commercial came on. It was shampoo. And it featured two women getting ready for a date. With each other.
He turned to me and said "Huh. Did you see that? That commercial had two women kissing!" He was floored.

Knitting and scout camp. A tale of stubborness and fortitude.
When I was still a new knitter another scout mom saw me knitting in a meeting, and, when I was the ONLY volunteer to chaperone the boys for a week at camp said to me in an extremely snotty tone "Well, you won't be able to sit around and knit all week. You're going to have to actually watch the boys"

Hernia bandage removal adventure. And an update on my stepson.
Today was a long day. It's been a long week. Or month...
Anyhow, we were at the VA ER. Only because he had an eye appointment and we were an hour early AND today was the day he was supposed to get his dressing changed from his hiatal hernia operation he had on Tuesday.

Ruined photos
I've been dealing with some photos that were stored improperly and got a lot of water damage. Some were OK, many were completly ruined. And a few, like this one, were improved by the damage.
That's Martin, at three years old. The vehicle had been used by Steve on the mail route. I forget what happened to it. Possibly a blown seal, or the engine ( Read more... ) -
Update First quarter 2018
Not much happening.
Steve's had a stepdown or two, but nothing prercipitious. All as expected. He's starting to get more random, which is hard to describe unless you see him in person.
He has a couple of new buddies to play music with, and that's Fan Freakin' Tastic as far as I'm concerned.

A rant about dementia and what people say to the spouse

#1 “He looks fine!” or any variation there of.
#2 “Well, he never really was that bright, was he?”
