in other news, i read vox nova because sometimes it's interesting (like recent posts on the danger of conflating religion & patriotism) and because sometimes it pisses me off, which is fun. i'm not gonna lie.

the thing is? it -is- totally different when it's my kid. THAT'S WHY I DO NOT WANT. other people's kids? fanTAStic. mine? not so much.

childfree gets a little excessive for me, though, because i do like children.

i like children too. (gosh that sounds like a comment that could get my journal red flagged). I'm an especially big fan of my little nephew (see icon) and my entering-the-world-at-any-moment-now new niece or nephew.

i'm just a sucker for validation that I am not alone in not wanting children of my own.

I suppose there may have been a slight relevance to the initial question as I was in to be diagnosed for really bad shoulder and neck pain. Relevance about lifting heavy objects maybe?

But the response of "you should"...I was just in shock. Sooo inappropriate. Definitely want to pursue a different GP for future consultations.

... and another thing, I wish I had known I didn't want children before they were born, that would have made me feel less guilty about giving them up for adoption. And I think the world is over populated anyway!!
