This just shows how accurate the author's portrayal is. You don't sleep for a while, then you finally do, but you panic because YOU DIDN'T SLEEP BEFORE AND WHAT IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN, so it turns into a big cycle.

This was absolutely everything I wanted and more, viscerally painful and realistic and the comforty bits (bed-sharing omg! ::loooove::) are weaved in with such a delicate touch and are just perrrfect, and I KIND OF LOVE YOU. Did I mention that? ;DDD

There are some great character insights in here too, like Dean letting slip that he’s always tired, and of course all the heartbreaking stuff he lets slip when he’s unable to censor himself anymore. And Saaaam. Your Sam is super awesome; let me count the ways!

Dean/sleep is so fascinating, especially because he admits that he doesn't sleep so much, and I wonder if it's by choice (avoiding nightmares?) or if it's more physical. I imagine it's by choice, so having that choice taken away from him would be devastating. So thank you for such a wonderful prompt and for being wonderful!
